The Friends of the Library have purchased a closed captions television (CCTV) unit for the purpose of magnifying text for people who have difficulty reading regular size print. It can also be helpful to people who have trouble seeing what they write. The unit is in the Periodicals Center on the Main Library's 3rd floor.
Materials in print format are magnified and viewed on a screen in either positive or negative images. Located in the Periodicals Department on the 3rd floor.
Ultratec Minicom IV- A TTY (also known as a TDD) is a simple keyboard device, which permits a deaf or hard of hearing person to type a conversation over the telephone. Customers may request information by contacting Lincoln Library through this device or place calls to local numbers only. Instructions available. Located on 3rd floor in the Periodicals department.
