It is now possible to request individual volumes or parts of sets that are listed on one catalog record. This might be a set of books such as an encyclopedia, or a video series. Previously, only library staff could do this. Note that a PIN is needed to place requests in HIP.To request a particular volume, click on the “Request This Copy” link by the volume you want. To request more than one volume, repeat the process. Note that if you look at your account, your request list will not show volume numbers.
For all other titles, use the “Request a Copy” button. This is the fastest way to get the item. If you use the “Request This Copy” link, you are asking for one exact copy and that copy might be missing or lost.
