NOTE: The parking ramp under the library will be closed February 3 through February 9, for repairs to the sprinkler system.

Library visitors should use the on-street metered parking spaces, the Seventh and Monroe parking ramp or the Sixth and Capitol parking ramp. (Meters are free after 5 p.m. and all day on Saturday.)


There is limited public parking in the garage underneath Lincoln Library. The parking garage is accessible via the alley off of 7th Street, between Municipal Center West and Lincoln Library.

Public parking in the garage is metered. There is a 2-hour time limit. (Spaces without meters are not available for public use prior to 5 p.m., Monday through Friday.)

The parking rate is 50¢ per half hour. The meters only accept nickles, dimes and quarters.

Parking in the garage is free after 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and all day on Saturday and Sunday. The lot closes one half hour after the library closes.

The vertical clearance for vehicles entering the parking garage is 7'-0".
