There are two ways to ask online reference questions at Lincoln Library:
By email--Complete the Email Reference form and your question will be answered within 24-48 hours. This is most appropriate for non-urgent questions, or questions dealing specifically with Lincoln Library, such as policies or local information.
By chat--Complete the Chat Reference form and your question will be answered within minutes, with possible follow-up by email. This is appropriate for questions that need a quick, short answer. Because the chat service is staffed by librarians across the country, questions should not be specific to Lincoln Library, or require special knowledge of Springfield to be answered.
