Reference & Information

Reference & Information Services librarians are available to answer your questions and assist you in doing your research. Whether you need the phone number of your aunt in California, or details about medieval life, we are available to help. Librarians are happy to provide answers to your questions in person on the 2nd floor at the Reference & Information desk. 

You may also call us with your questions at 753-4900, extension 206. Come in or call us during open hours.

In addition, you can email your reference questions by clicking the AskAway logo on the home page and choosing email. Reference librarians from Lincoln Library will answer your email within 24 to 48 hours. 

Lastly, you may ask your question using live chat with the AskAway service 24 hours a day. Librarians from all over can provide you with immediate and reliable answers, anytime, day or night. Because the chat service is staffed by librarians across the country, questions should not be specific to Lincoln Library, or require special knowledge of Springfield to be answered.
