A Summer Reading Program for Kids, Teens & Adults! Saturday, June 1- Saturday, July 27, 2013.
The Youth Services department will again be offering two summer reading programs - one for children ages 11 and younger and another for young adults ages 12 to 18. As reading goals are achieved, kids will be awarded prizes – the more hours read, the more prizes received. (Many thanks go out to the Friends of Lincoln Library and Quaker Steak & Lube for providing reading incentives and prizes!)
The fun doesn’t end with enjoying great books! There are many programs for kids and teens -- crafts, storytimes, games, and a performance by Magician Richard Landry (June 18, 2 p.m.) and by the DePriest Puppets (July 9, 2 p.m.). For a complete listing of events, stop by the library for a calendar or see it online.
The adult reading program is open to anyone age 19 and over. Simply sign up to participate at the Readers’ Services Desk or Reference Desk. Each time a book is finished, stop by to enter a prize slip for the drawings. (The more you read, the more you can enter!) There will be weekly prize drawings for a variety of gift cards and a grand prize give-away at the end of the program for a $50 Visa Gift Card! Prizes are courtesy of the Friends of Lincoln Library.
