Event Details

Are you curious to learn about different scientific topics and how science affects the world around us? Then come visit the Science Cafe, where science and technology experts come to share their expertise with the community!

Geography is more than just studying maps and memorizing place names--it’s also the study of how the world around us functions, how humans impact the places we live in, and how those places shape us in turn. To celebrate Geography Awareness Week, Dean Butzow, professor of geography at Lincoln Land Community College, will be talking about geography and geographic information systems: what they are, how they're used, and the impact they have in today's society.
