The Bridgerton series by Julia Quinn

The Bridgerton family is well-known in Regency London society; eight siblings, named in alphabetical order, each handsome and beautiful and full of personality. Each book in the series follows a sibling as they (willingly or unwillingly) find their true love. If you’re a fan of soapy romance, period dramas, or Jane Austen, you’ll surely find a story to love in this series.
 

For fans of Netflix’s new series, Bridgerton, the first book in the series is the basis for the show. The Duke and I follows Daphne as she begins her third season on the marriage mart. She despairs of ever finding a husband, as most of her suitors see her more as a friend and less as a potential wife. Enter Simon, the Duke of Hastings, and best friend of Daphne’s older brother Anthony. The pair devise a fake-dating scheme as a way to make Daphne seem more desirable and get the horde of marriage-minded mamas off of Simon’s back. But will their fake feelings turn into something more?
