Greater Springfield Interfaith Association

GSIA is a group of people in ministry from diverse faith backgrounds in Greater Springfield. They come together to identify human needs, including their own, within this community, and to respond to those needs appropriately, given their resources, skills, time, and energy. GSIA was founded in 1978. They hold an annual Welcoming Banquet, Thanksgiving service, and Humanitarian Awards. They are still active as of 2017.

The collection includes Greater Springfield Interfaith Association (GSIA) membership, task forces, welcoming banquets, Thanksgiving Services and Humanitarian Service Awards materials. Also, bylaws, treasurers’ reports, positions on proposed legislation and suits, board information 1983-1998, general meeting information 1981-1986, GSIA letters to clergy, correspondence, newspaper articles, brochures, and information from other organizations.
