Teen Summer Reading 2022
Teen Summer Reading Game
Teen Summer Reading: Grades 6-12
We get it. Probably the last thing on teens’ minds is reading, but with input from actual teens, we’ve managed to design a Summer Reading program with incentives that will make even the most reluctant reader engaged!
How it works:
- Grab a reading log by visiting Lincoln Library, or sign up and record your reading using our Beanstack app.
- Earn instant prizes based on the number of books you read:
- 5 books = Sticker
- 10 books = Booklight
- 25 books = USB hub
- Earn a ticket towards a weekly book raffle each time you visit Lincoln Library or complete an entire book that week.
- Lastly, there’s our End of Summer Raffle! Earn tickets for the number of pages read, writing book reviews, and attending Library programs:
- Book 0-300 pages = 1 ticket
- Book 301+ pages = 2 tickets
- Book review = 1 ticket
- Program attendance = 1 ticket
- Raffle boxes will be set up in our Teen Area starting in June. Enter your collected raffle tickets toward the items you want (and we have some great ones!)
- Or wait until our End of Summer Prize Party to select where you’d like your tickets to go. Be warned! If you wait until the end and you lose a raffle ticket before putting it in a box, the ticket will not be replaced.
