Lincoln Library’s Mobile Branch is a bookmobile that brings books, digital resources, internet access, and programs directly to the community.
A scaled-down version of our main collection, the bookmobile visits all 10 city wards, making library services accessible to everyone. This fully accessible library on wheels helps Springfield residents discover all that Lincoln Library has to offer.
The Mobile Branch makes 16 stops on a two-week rotation. At each stop, approximately 3,000 circulating items – bestselling fiction, nonfiction, large print books, audiobooks, children's books, movies and more – are available and can be borrowed by patrons.

Yes. When placing an item on hold which you intend to pick up at a Mobile Branch stop, choose “Mobile Branch” from the dropdown menu when prompted to choose “pickup location”.
Yes! The Mobile Branch has a book return for any items, regardless of where you checked them out. Similarly, you can return items checked out from the Mobile Branch at the main library.
No. Due to space constraints, the Mobile Branch is not able to accept donations. We are happy to receive your donations at the main library, as long as they fit the donation criteria.
