Enjoy a local expert discussing a topic of interest.

Join us as we watch and discuss three short films from the "Liberty on Trial: Cases that Defined Freedom" series that still resonate today. "Two Slave Trials" examines the Fugitive Slave Act, which has recently been used to empower ICE. "The Trial of John T. Scopes" examines the 100-year-old fight over teaching evolution in schools, which has yet to be settled. "The Trial of Daniel Ellsberg", aka "The Pentagon Papers", examines the never-ending tension between what the government feels should be secret and what the public feels it should know.
