Beta Sigma Phi

Beta Sigma Phi was founded in 1931 in Abilene, Kansas and became headquartered in Kansas City. In the same year, a Springfield chapter was organized. It is a women’s social and service organization. There have been multiple chapters in Springfield. The collection includes Beta Sigma Phi local chapter rosters (1960s-1970s), photos (1980s), and Founders Day programs (1950s-1970s). There are also Alpha chapter booklets and meeting materials (1970s & 1980s), City Council bylaws and meeting minutes (1980s) and international organization booklets and songs. The scrapbooks are from the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 2000s from the various chapters of Beta Sigma Phi in Springfield.
