Want to carve out time to read but don't want the pressure to finish and discuss a specific book?  Want to learn what others are reading and low-key socialize? It sounds to us like you may be a Bookalo.

The Gathering of the Bookalos is an off-site BYOBook Silent Book Club. There is no assigned reading, you just bring whatever book in whatever format you'd like and read it quietly alongside others who are doing the same thing. That's it. It's a time dedicated to quiet reading, learning about what others are reading, and hanging with folks out in the community.

Here's an idea of what The Gathering will look like:

2:00: Meet at the White Oaks Mall Food Court, grab a sip or bite, and settle in

2:15-3:15: Read quietly

3:15-3:30: Share out what we're reading and wrap-up

Registration is recommended. If you are unable to register, you are still welcome to attend as long as seats are still available. 

We look forward to gathering and no pressure reading with you, fellow Bookalos. 

Notes:

The Food Court is located on the second floor of the mall. The entrance closest to the Food Court is the door located between Dick's Sporting Goods and Cooper's Hawk.

There is free parking at the location.

This program is taking place at a location during its business hours; music, sounds from shoppers and diners, and other mall-related noises may occur during The Gathering. Please feel free to bring headphones, sweaters, or items you need to find comfort and focus during our time together.
