Event Details

This Pride Month, join Lincoln Library’s Sangamon Valley Collection for a free walking tour of historic LGBT+ sites in Downtown Springfield. From Ethel Mars to Smokey’s Den to The Prairie Flame to PrideFest, we have a lot to be proud of. Come see Springfield through rainbow-colored glasses!

The total distance will be close to 2.5 miles, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water. There will be a few opportunities to take a short rest and water break. Questions are encouraged.

Meet outside the library, by the cubist Lincoln statue on Capitol Avenue, at the starting time.

Registration is required for this event, but it will be offered multiple times:

9am Saturday, June 1st, 8th, 22nd, and 29th
5:30pm Wednesday, June 5th, 12th, and 26th
