American Association of University Women-Springfield Chapter

The National Association of Collegiate Alumnae was founded in 1881 and members have examined and taken positions on the fundamental issues of the day — educational, social, economic, and political. In 1906 the National Association of Collegiate Alumnae granted a charter to Springfield to form a branch. They had their first meeting in 1907.  One of the founding members was Susan Wilcox. The organization became the American Association of University Women in 1921.
