Coley C. Cowan (1927-2011) was a sportscaster in Springfield for 50 years and a WTAX sports director. A luncheon was held at the Forum Thirty on April 16, 1978 to celebrate his 18 years of service to the area. Mayor Telford and other dignitaries from across the state were there to talk about him. He was presented with gifts.
