Springfield Newcomers Club Collection

The Springfield Newcomers Club formed in October 1932. According to its by-laws “the objective of this organization shall be to develop friendship and social spirit among new residents and to promote their assimilation into their community”-1994/1996.

The Springfield Newcomers Club, a social networking club primarily for women, can be an outlet for people who are new to the area and don't have family or friends nearby.

This collection includes incorporation documents, by-laws and proposed amendments, founders and charter member materials, lists of presidents, reports, correspondence, meeting notes 1958-1990, event materials, membership rosters 1960s-2000s, the monthly newsletter 1930s-2000s, and photo albums/scrapbooks 2001-2007.
